Amazon Publishes Q4 2026 Deadlines: Same Fees, Earlier Inventory Cutoffs

Amazon posted its holiday readiness announcement on July 7, 2026, giving sellers the key dates for Prime Big Deal Days, Black Friday Week, and Cyber Monday. Fees are unchanged from last year, no new eligibility requirements are coming, and the deal submission windows are already open.

For sellers who learned during Prime Day 2026 that Amazon's earlier-than-usual dates compressed the preparation window significantly, this is the signal to start Q4 planning now rather than in September.

Deal Submissions Are Open Now

The submission windows opened July 8 and run through the following cutoffs:

For Prime Big Deal Days, the window closes September 8. For Black Friday Week and Cyber Monday, the window closes October 20.

Amazon is bringing back the early submission discount for both events. Submit your Prime Big Deal Days deals by August 5 and your Black Friday Week and Cyber Monday deals by September 5 to save $50 on the upfront promotion fee per deal. Given that Lightning Deals and Best Deals carry an upfront fee of $100 per promotion plus a 1.5% variable fee on promotional sales capped at $5,000, that saving adds up quickly across a multi-deal catalog.

One useful pricing clarification: Prime Big Deal Days promotional prices are excluded from the 30-day and 60-day lookback windows and will not affect the maximum deal price you can offer for Black Friday Week and Cyber Monday. Running a deal in October will not constrain what you can offer in November.

Inventory Deadlines by Event

Missing these dates does not just delay your shipment. It removes the Prime badge from your products during the event window, which directly affects your Featured Offer position and conversion rates.

Prime Big Deal Days

  • September 2: AWD shipments
  • September 9: FBA with minimal shipment splits
  • September 16: FBA with Amazon-optimized splits (the default for most sellers)

Black Friday Week and Cyber Monday

  • October 14: AWD shipments
  • October 21: FBA with minimal shipment splits
  • October 28: FBA with Amazon-optimized splits

Treat these as hard stops, not targets. Fulfillment centers shift focus from receiving inbound shipments to processing customer orders in November and December, so receiving times lengthen and capacity tightens as the season progresses.

Peak Fees: What Changes on October 15

Holiday peak fulfillment fees apply from October 15, 2026 through January 14, 2027, covering FBA, Remote Fulfillment with FBA, Multi-Channel Fulfillment, and Buy with Prime. The per-unit increase averages $0.32 over non-peak rates, the same as last year. A 3.5% fuel and logistics surcharge applies on top of that.

Amazon has already loaded peak rates into the Revenue Calculator, Profit Analytics dashboard, and Fee and Economics Preview Report. Run your Q4 margin model with peak rates before you finalize deal pricing. The combination of the $0.32 peak surcharge and the 3.5% fuel surcharge changes your per-unit economics enough that deals which look profitable at standard rates may not hold up during the peak window.

Why AWD Is Worth Considering This Year

Sellers who enrolled in AWD during Q4 2025 saw more than 13% more shipped units and a greater than 30% reduction in out-of-stock days during the quarter, according to Amazon's announcement. For sellers who have faced FBA capacity constraints during past peak seasons, AWD's auto-replenishment model addresses the core problem: store bulk inventory upstream from FBA fulfillment centers and let it flow into the network based on demand, rather than guessing how much inventory each location needs weeks in advance.

There is also a specific fee advantage this year. If you send inventory through AWD and enable automatic replenishment, you keep paying the off-peak monthly storage rate through October 31, 2026, even though the peak fee window starts October 15. That two-week overlap gives AWD a storage cost advantage over holding the same inventory directly in FBA.

Amazon is also expanding Global Warehousing and Distribution with a new Shanghai facility starting July 16, alongside a 30-day free storage promotion for all GWD shipments received between July 1 and December 31. For sellers sourcing from China, GWD gives you a way to hold bulk inventory closer to your manufacturer and reduce US storage costs heading into peak season.

Your Q4 Checklist Right Now

The practical priorities in order are straightforward. Submit Prime Big Deal Days deals before August 5 to lock in the $50 early discount. Get AWD shipments moving for Prime Big Deal Days by early September. If you use AWD with auto-replenishment, activate it before October 15 to keep the off-peak storage rate through the end of October. Run your margin model with peak fees included before you finalize any promotional pricing.
