However, it was his Cuban immigrant stepfather, Mike Bezos, who played a significant role in his life.

Insensitive remark. There’s also the infamous statement he made when he flew to space that received massive backlash. The e-commerce king thanked Amazon workers and customers for paying for the expensive trip, and it was not received well by everyone.

Divorce and engagement. In 2019, Bezos made headlines when he divorced his wife of 25 years. Currently, he is engaged to media personality Lauren Sánchez.
