In this article, we’ll do a rundown of the best eBay sniping tools out there to help you choose the right one and start sniping those sweet deals on eBay.  Related Reading: Selling on Amazon vs. eBay: An In-Depth Comparison What Is an eBay Auction? eBay is a huge online marketplace where sellers can create auction-type listings. An eBay auction is a listing where the seller names a starting price and the buyer (that’s you) bids against other buyers for the product. As with an ordinary auction sale, the product is sold to the buyer who places the highest bid within the specified time frame.  The auction system on eBay has historically allowed sellers to receive higher prices for their items. Conversely, it can also let buyers purchase items at a lower price than the actual retail price. Although eBay auctions usually involve collectibles, a seller may create an auction listing for…
How Is Temu Different From Amazon and Wish?

How Is Temu Different From Amazon and Wish?

Temu has been one of the most talked-about e-commerce marketplaces in recent memory thanks to the Superbowl Ad they aired. Temu (pronounced tee-moo) is a huge e-commerce company in China (similar to TaoBao for those familiar with Chinese e-commerce giants) with over 900 million users that came to the shores of North America in late 2022. Essentially though, Temu is a marketplace where Chinese-based suppliers sell goods direct to consumers which sounds an awful lot like Wish.com and even Amazon.com (more on that later). In this article, we'll take a look at how Temu is different (and isn't different) from Wish, Aliexpress, and Amazon. What Exactly Is Temu? Temu wants you to believe that they're a Boston-based company founded in 2022. Let's be sincere here though—TEMU is 100% a Chinese-based company that has a US-based entity. The tagline is “Shop like a billionaire without being one” or, in other words, quality goods at affordable prices, which is basically the slogan of every other low-end mass retailer on the planet. How do they offer such cheap prices? By allowing Chinese vendors to sell directly to customers. Temu vs. Wish.com vs. Amazon Let's start off by giving a high-level overview of the…

How to Become an Amazon Product Tester and Get Freebies and Discounts

How to Become an Amazon Product Tester and Get Freebies and Discounts

Trying out new stuff on Amazon and sharing your thoughts can be a rewarding use of your time, especially if you love freebies and discounts In this article, we’ll talk about what Amazon Product Testers do, how you become one, and the benefits you can get out of reviewing products sold on Amazon. Related Reading: How to Get Amazon Reviews in 2023 What Is an Amazon Product Tester? Amazon Product Testers, as the name suggests, are people who test products sold on Amazon. Testers usually do this for a fee, discounts, or for the most part, free products.  While there’s a quick buck in it for the product testers, third-party Amazon sellers can also greatly benefit if the product testers come back with positive feedback on their products.  Does Amazon Allow Product Testers? Although there is no hard-and-fast Amazon policy on product testers, there is no Amazon-regulated program for testing products outside of Vine, which means that sellers personally sending their products out and having them tested and reviewed is against Amazon ToS. In the past, Amazon has meted out account suspensions (or heavier penalties) on sellers who use incentivized reviews to artificially inflate their sales and rankings. That being…
FTC Is Planning an Antritrust Lawsuit vs. Amazon

FTC Is Planning an Antritrust Lawsuit vs. Amazon

The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) is reportedly planning on filing a lawsuit against Amazon over its alleged anticompetitive practices. The suit is expected to be filed as early as spring, but it’s still not clear exactly which aspects of the company’s businesses will get more attention from the Commission. Amazon’s Major Acquisitions There’s no doubt that the former small online bookstore has metamorphosed into an e-commerce giant, but along with its growth comes more stringent regulations. Amazon is presently the biggest e-commerce platform, but its business does not solely revolve around its marketplaces. Over the years, Amazon has made some major acquisitions, including Whole Foods, Twitch, and MGM, among others. Understandably, a government agency that deals primarily with consumer protection and competition issues is concerned about how big and powerful a single company is becoming. In fact, this is not the first time that the FTC is looking deeper into the company’s operations. The FTC already launched an antitrust probe in December 2021, focusing on AWS, while another probe was conducted last year to look into Amazon’s acquisition of MGM Holdings, Inc. This time around, the FTC is expected to keep its eyes on Amazon’s $3.9 billion acquisition of One…

Amazon Storage Limits – How to Avoid Them [March 2023 Guide]

Amazon Storage Limits – How to Avoid Them [March 2023 Guide]

When Amazon's storage limits were first introduced circa 2019, we thought it was just a temporary measure (in fact, we avoided writing an in-depth topic about this for that very reason). As of this writing though, , they appear here to stay indefinitely.  In this article, we'll break down exactly how Amazon's storage limits work and, most importantly, how to get around them. 2023 Changes to Amazon Storage Limits Amazon's policy towards storage limits has been changing (and fairly dramatically) for the last several years. The latest big change took place in 2023. Amazon basically went from an ASIN limit to an overall storage limit. Concurrently, Amazon gave sellers the ability to bid on more space.  Here's a summary of the changes: There is no more ASIN limit. It's been replaced by a single storage volume limit. Capacity is calculated per month, not per week. The capacity is announced in the third week of the month prior. You can bid on more capacity for any individual month up to three months in advance. The ability to bid on more capacity is the biggest change to all of this. But is this a money grab or just a deterrent for people to…
